Ezekiel “Zeke” Dumke IV is the founder and managing partner of Dumke Law, LLP.  He is admitted to practice before all California state Courts the Northern District of California Federal Court, all Utah state and Federal Courts, as well as the Federal Circuit. Zeke focuses his practice on intellectual property, advising, litigation, and business consulting. He has established relationships ranging from Fortune 500 companies to sole proprietors, advising on business and IP matters.

Born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah, Zeke attended Westminster College for his Bachelor of Science in Business and Economics.  He received his M.B.A. in International Business from Bond University Business School in Queensland, Australia; Certificate of Chinese Intellectual Property in Beijing, China, and J.D. from the University of San Francisco School of Law.

Prior to forming Dumke Law, LLP, Zeke was a managing partner at Quinn Dumke LLC and an associate at Howard, Phillips and Andersen. He has successfully negotiated millions of dollars in licensing agreements with the world’s largest technology companies and managed all facets of a multi-million dollar technology licensing dispute; including settlement negotiations, discovery procedures and trial strategy.

Zeke is a board member of the Katherine W. Dumke and Ezekiel R. Dumke, Jr. Foundation, Westminster Alumni Board, and the SJINC Foundation as well as on the Board of Advisors to for Undergraduate Advancement at the University of Utah. He also enjoys his time as a member of the SLC Angels.

Jacob Adams is a partner of Dumke Law, LLP.  Jacob’s has centered his practice on Intellectual Property litigation, including trademark enforcement and protection for some of the largest trademark holders in the US.  Jacob has significant experience in all aspects of Intellectual Property litigation from high value patent infringement actions to large scale trademark enforcement.  He has also extended his practice to trademark registration and clearance with a view to registering the strongest of marks. 

Given his international education and experience, including studies from Australia and Norway, Jacob maintains a well versed international practice of international intellectual property, trade, contracts, and arbitration. He has recently been engaged to lecture at the University of Tromso (Norway) while he pursues a Phd. in trademark law. 

Jacob holds two post-graduate degrees in law, and is admitted to practice before all New York State Courts, the Federal Court for the Southern District of New York, the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and the Supreme Court of New South Wales, Australia. 

David R. Read                                                                      Of Counsel

David Read practices family law out of his downtown office in Salt Lake City, Utah. Prior to working out of his current office, he practiced family law at the law firm of Strong and Hanni and later at the law firm of Cordell and Cordell.  David provides clients with high quality legal representation as he focuses on implementing the most cost-efficient and legally effective strategies.

David works closely and effectively with qualified professionals and expert witnesses, including business evaluators, forensic accountants, clinical psychologists, custody evaluators, social workers, and appraisers.

David works quickly and tirelessly to understand his client’s needs and goals while keeping in mind the prospects of trial and the demands of the judicial process. David gained significant insight into court and trial procedure after law school when he served as a judicial law clerk in Utah’s Second Judicial District. David’s continued experience in the courts gives him a unique ability to advocate for his clients before the Honorable Commissioners and Judges of the State of Utah. David is fluent in Spanish, and maintains an active Spanish-speaking clientele.
